On US93 at the Nevada/Arizona state line, near Las Vegas. Northwest Arizona, southeast Nevada.
Colorado.
High.
Free (I think) but often very difficult due to heavy congestion.
There is a charge made for dam tours; due to the large number of visitors there are frequently long queues for dam tours.
This is one of the best known dams, and with its location near to Las Vegas, on the road between that city and the Grand Canyon, it receives a large number of visitors. The dam is approached by road from both directions down a hill, leaving little room for parking areas. As a result the area is often highly congested.
