National Bison Range, Montana
Location
Western Montana, north of Missoula, near
the small towns of Dixon and Moiese.
What to See and Do
Drive the unpaved road over the mountain,
with good views. There is a small toll charge for this (two or three Dollars,
I seem to recollect), which you pay at the Visitor Centre.
See the buffalo and various other wild animals, all roaming freely.
The National Bison Range is administered by the Fish
and Wildlife Service, a division of the Department of The Interior.
