Laundry Arrangements During a US/Canadian Holiday
Some motels, including a few Super 8
and Motel 6 locations, have "guest laundries"
with automatic washing machines and tumble dryers for use by guests at
a nominal charge. Consult each motel chain's directory for an indication
of which locations have guest laundries.
Alternatively, most towns large enough to have a motel will also have
at least one launderette (also called a "laundromat" or a "coin laundry").
Consult the local yellow pages in each town for information.
It can be difficult to obtain a small amount of washing powder in supermarkets,
although most launderettes have machines which dispense small packets of
powder.
